Project details

The aim of our project is to present ghost stories, haunted castles and create “Spooky Guidebook” containing photographs and descriptions of haunted places in Poland, Turkey, Serbia and Spain. It will give our students the opportunity to broaden their knowledge of history, geography and folk tales of countries involved in the project. It will also give them the chance to improve their language skills and computer literacy.

  • Aims:
    Broadening knowledge about Poland and other countries; improving students' language skills and computer literacy; developing ability to reach compromise and work in a group; becoming more responsible.
  • Work process:
    Dec: Preparation stage: presentation about schools; choosing one’s Avatar and preparing short presentations on oneself. Jan: Getting to know partners. Presentations of schools and home towns. “Who Am I?” – a guessing game. Presentations of Avatars and their descriptions “How Courageous Are You?” – personality test. Preparing questions included in the quiz; exchanging tests with our partners (5 questions each school) Creating common Ghostbusters’ Code (about 10 rules for ghostbusters) Contact – three times result: meeting partners online, getting familiar with partner schools, improving lg skills. Feb: Fancy dress party: best disguise contest; spooky laboratory; culinary contest Contact – one time result: connecting learning with fun March: collecting information on haunted castles, ghosts Contact – two times result: broadening knowledge of history and geography, improving lg skills April: creating “Spooky Guidebook” All the partners are responsible for the whole project.
  • Expected results:
    The final product of the project will be the “Spooky Guidebook” presented on the TwinSpace. The "Spooky Guidebook" contains: a picture of a ghost drawn by children, a photo of a haunted castle / place; short description of a place and the ghost. The project is supposed to give the pupils opportunity to broaden their knowledge about Poland and other countries. Cooperation with other schools will enable children to develop their language skills and computer literacy.
